Artesans-ResQ Ukraine provides critical care transport across Ukraine and abroad, develops CCT standards, and trains medical professionals, strengthening the emergency care system
ABOUT US
Artesans-ResQ Ukraine is a charitable organization that has been saving patients’ lives since 2022 through a coordinated system of Critical Care Transport (CCT) and medical staff training. Today, we are a provider of specialized patient transport within Ukraine and abroad, as well as the developer of the country’s first national CCT protocols and standards.
Our team began its work in early 2022, when medical and emergency service professionals recognized the scale of the challenges ahead. With the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine’s healthcare system came under critical pressure, while the need for long-distance patient transport increased sharply. In response, we ensured uninterrupted intensive care during the transport of critically ill patients — in specially equipped ambulances staffed by teams of physicians, anesthesiologists, and paramedics.
Our mission:
• We transport soldiers, civilians, children and infant patients from front-line locations to advanced medical centers.
• We provide life-saving care throughout every journey.
• We build Ukraine’s capacity for critical-care transport. We design protocols, train instructors, and work with hospitals and emergency services nationwide.
• We train the next generation of CCT transport professionals.
Our work covers four main areas:
1. Adult patient transport – 24/7 transfers of critically ill and injured patients within Ukraine and abroad.
2. Pediatric and neonatal transport – transfers of children and newborns in critical condition with full intensive care support.
3. Development of CCT standards – creating and implementing national protocols and procedures that enhance the safety and quality of transfers.
4. Training – delivering standardized courses for doctors, paramedics, and medical staff, building the first generation of CCT specialists in Ukraine
Since the start of the full-scale war, we have carried out more than 3 000 critical transfers (adults, children, and newborns), including international MEDEVAC and repatriation missions in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Center of Disaster Medicine, the European Commission, and humanitarian partners.
Behind every mission stand people – doctors, paramedics, nurses, drivers, and volunteers from Ukraine and around the world. They work together to give patients the chance to survive and recover.
We often operate in conditions where there is no room for error and every minute matters. Yet even in such circumstances, we are united by one goal – to help those who need it most.
We are grateful for the support of our partners, donors, volunteers and medics from Ukraine and around the world who help us carry out this crucial work.
