Specialists from all over Ukraine have completed the CCT course on transporting critical patients

CCT (Critical Care Transport) course on transporting resuscitation patients

The Artesans ResQ team in collaboration with World Health Organization and Ministry of Health of Ukraine have created and is now implementing a unique CCT (Critical Care Transport) course. The course is based on our practical experience, as our team has transported over 1,000 critically ill patients.

Our first cohort of trainees involves two participants selected from each region of our country. They successfully completed the training and have already begun conducting Critical Care Transports with their colleagues across Ukraine.

This week, the second wave of training has started.
Graduates from the group were invited to join, and now we are working together to prepare new instructors.

At the first stage of training, future instructors:

– Attended lectures from Ukrainian and international medical professionals.
–  Refined their practical skills in transporting critical care patients.
–  Completed over 12 simulations that included critical patient scenarios during transport.
– Conducted training using modern ventilators, infusion pumps, and ambulances.

The second stage of training is called Internship, during which medical professionals will spend three days with the Artesans-ResQ team, accompanying them on emergency calls and observing their work.

The final stage of training for future instructors involves them taking on the role of instructors themselves, learning how to teach the CST course.
